The Phoenix (“FONIX” in Icelandic) is a compact powerhouse crafted for players who demand clarity, touch sensitivity, and tonal versatility.
With a 12AX7 pre-amp; active effects loop; EL84 output section; the user can enjoy shimmering highs and smooth mid-range; tight and punchy low-end. The control layout includes Volume, Tone, and Post-Phase-Inverter-Master-Volume. An active, and fully bypassable effects loop is located on the rear panel. When engaged the loop can be used as a line out, pre-amp attenuator, or standard loop. Refer to the owner’s manual for more information on that. This amplifier is configured with a Solid-State Rectifier which enables lightning-fast response.

Reminds one of strings of steel. A lush mid-range rides atop a low-end punch that can be felt all the way in the back row. Articulate high frequency response is smooth and exacting-never leaves the ears fatigued or “ice-picked”. The tone is delivered via two 6L6GC’s delivering around 35 watts sorted out by a 5AR4 rectifier. Front panel controls are Gain, EQ Boost switch (foot switchable). Treble, Mids, Bass and Master Volume. On the rear panel, effects loop level, 4/8/16-ohm outputs, and foot switch jack for the EQ.

This incredibly well-crafted tone machine uses two 12AX7 preamp tubes, an active effects loop, 20-watt 6V6 output section, and solid-state rectifier. Like the Phoenix, one can find several ways to dial in drive and head room. In addition to the Phoenix controls of Gain, Tone and Master Volume, the Falcon has a boost switch (foot switchable) and a deep contour switch that extends the low-end interaction of the Tone control. On the rear panel, effects loop level and bypass, foot switch jack for the boost function, and 4,8,16-ohm speaker outputs.
